CARS IN COLLISION
ON-E MUCH DAMAGED LOAD OF CHINA INTACT [from OCR own correspondent] POKENO, Saturday A touring car, owned and driven by Mr. W. Crura, was badly damaged this afternoon in a collision with a car driven by Mr. N. J. Shaw, of Papakura. The accident occurred at the twin bridges on the Pokeno-Paeroa highway at Mangatawhiri. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The right front wheel of Mr. Crum's car was smashed, all the spokes being severed, the chassis was bent, and the engine damaged. Mr. Shad's car sustained only minor damage and was driven away under its own power. Mr. Crum had his household crockery in the vehicle, and a remarkable feature of the collision was that not one piece of china was broken.
