FORCING RELIEF
MINNESOTA UNEMPLOYED GOVERNOR DETERMINED NEW YOltK. April 12 A threat to declare martial law and confiscate wealth unless the Legislature passes the ; relief legislation which is pending was made to-day by the Governor of Minnesota, Mr. Floyd Olson, in addressing several hundred marchers in St. Paul. Appearing on the steps of the Capitol, the Farmer-Labour Governor attacked the' Legislature, saying that bills which , would provide relief were being held' up. He told the relief marchers that he was making his last appeal for action by the Legislature, i which must adjourn on April 19. Mr. Olson said that should the relief measures not be passed lie would declare martial law and bring in, with the aid of the Provost Guard, the people who were now fighting the legislation because they happened to poseess considerable wealth. j These persons would be obliged to j give up more if martial law was d<\- | dared than they would under the pending legislation.
