By OLIVE lIDYE, D.D.M.8.0., Kuilji Street, Jtotonin. (Aged 19.) Original Peter l;iy tucked in liis bed dreamily gazing at the stars through the window. He \wis thinking of the big Easter egg daddy had given him that evening, wrapped in goM and red paper and tied with a beautiful red bow. Slowly Peter's eyes closed and down among the stars sailed a large airship. The body consisted of un enormous red and gold Easter and suspended from it on blue ribbons was another Easter egg surrounded with tiny windows with a little door in the side. Very gentlv it sailed in through the window and then landed softly on Peter's quilt. The tiny door opened and a little scarlet-cloaked pixie stepped on the coverlet. " Hollo, Peter! Wouldn't you like to come with me in my airship and seo where all the Easter eggs are made? " he asked. , " Oh, yes," cried Peter in delight. | Then he "looked disappointed. " But i am too big; I couldn't got in." " Well," said the pixie with a mysterious smile. " We will soon see about that." Taking a tiny cake, no bigger than a rain-drop, from a little gold box in his pocket he gave it to Peter. As soon as he had swallowed it Peter felt himself growing smaller and smaller until lie was the size of the pixie. "Oh!" ho gasped when the queer sensation had ceased. " ~\\hy, 1 can go in the airship now, pixie." " My name is Vcno," said the i>ixie. "But hurry up, Peter." They climbed in through the littlo door and Peter sat on one of the six seats that filled the carriage. Verio shut the door and pressed a button. Silently the airship rose from the quilt, out through the window and up to the stars. For a while they sailed swiftly through the air. Then Peter, who was looking through a window, .saw a queer little villago coming to view. " First I shall take you to seo His Majesty tho King, Peter," said Vcno as the airship landed on a strip of lawn in front of tho palace. And such a quaint palace, too. Tho main dome consisted of tho half of an enormous gold Easter ogg that shone like a thousand diamonds. This wonderful dome was surrounded by a number of smaller ones. Veno led tho way through a big arched door where stood two gailycoated sentries. At the other end of the room sat tho king, not 011 a gold throno as Peter had expected, but in a big chair, busily eating chocolates out of an Easter egg that lay in two halves on the tablo beside him. "Hello, Peter," said the king. "Havo some of my chocolates? After recovering from his surpriso Peter accepted some and then chatted gaily with the king. "Well, Veno," he said at last, take Peter to seo my great factory." Peter once again found himself outside the castlo and followed Veno down a twisty little path, passing dozens of hurrying pixies 011 their way. lho end of the path led along tho foot of a rockv cliff, and with a sudden turn Peter was confronted with the mouth of a great' cave. I 1 rom within came the sound of many voices and thero was a continuous stream of pixies going in and out, carrying traps of Easter eggs of all sizes. Peter entered the cave, where hundrcds of pixies worked, and was allowed to cat some of the sweets. " Goodness, Peter," said Veno after they were out in the open again. It must be getting quite late." He plucked a dandelion clock and blew it. nearly twelve o'clock. Quickly. Let s
