THURSDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS hollowing is a list of Thursday's transactions on Now Zealand Stock Exchanges. In the second column is given the return, based on tho last annual dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In calculating the return on shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand tho exchange rates havo not been taken into consideration. The'return on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption. In the case of 3J per cent loans, tho return is for interest alone,and covers only the period for which the loans are tax-free. April 12 Stocks of wheat in Canada on March 1 31 were estimated by tho Dominion ! | 13 u res: u of Statistics at 312,819,244 bushels, compared with 246,150,573 bushels at the end of March, 19.52, an increase of 66,668,671 bushels. J his increase, compared with a year ago, is considerably je.ss than the increase in tie crop 'last year over that of the year before. The returns indicate a carry-over of wheal, at the end of the crop year (July 31) of 156,000,000 bushels—a record carry-over for Canada.
