ELECTION OF OFFICERS [FROM OUR OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Friday About 40 members attended the annual meeting of the Pukekohe Literary and Social Club, held in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening. The president, Mr. E. G. Moncrief, presided. A most successful past season was reported. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £l2 19s, with no liabilities, but- the income and expenditure account disclosed a loss of £7 12s 7d for the year. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. C. K. Lawrie; president, Mr. Moncrief; vice-presidents, Messrs. ,J. B. Valder, F. Perkins, G. F. Payne, A. Schlaepfer, L. G. Sharp, G. Bowden, F. D. Wood, C. R. Bennett, R. Schlaepfer, E. W. Dyer, Dr. A. T. Begg and Mrs. A.jGill; secretary, Mr. C. Lawrie; treasurer, Miss A. Armstrong; auditor, Mr. D. R. Hamilton; committee, Messrs. C. Stoupe and W\ J. Taylor, Misses G. Lee, D. Ferguson and B. Fairlie; supper committee, Misses M. Peterson, A. Scott, G. Keating, A. Bowden, F. Newcombe, Lee, Ferguson and Fairlie; hall committee, Messrs. A, Fallows, C. Fallows, • R. St'gar, D. Sutcliffe, H. Deane and R. Parton; M.C.'s, Messrs. L. G. Middlemiss, Parton and C. Fallows.
