RATES ON CROWN LAND
CONFERENCE WITH MINISTER [FROM OCR OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Friday The county clerk, Mr. H. C. Hemphill, reported at the Whangarei County Council meeting to-day tluit arrangements had been made with the Hon. E. A. Hansom, Minister of Lands, for a conference to he held at Whangarei on April 22 to discuss rates outstanding on occupied Crown land and rates due on lantl of which the State Advances Olliee was tho mortgagee. Tho chairman, Mr. L. Webb, said lie would be in Wellington on the date of tho conference and he moved tha. Messrs. J. A. S. Mackay, A. Clarke and b\ Elliott be a committee to nieei the Minister. The motion was carried.
