1000 TONS OF BUTTER
BAY OF ISLANDS FACTORY A milestone in the progress of the Bay of Islands Co-operative Dairy Company was reached last week when tho box of butter which brought the output for the season np to 1000 tons was finished. Jt was a grea.t occasion for the company and all the directors, except j\lr. K. Mihaka, native representative, who had a prior engagement at Waitangi, were present at the factory. Tho chairman of directors, Mr. A. C. Kingston, of Ohaeawai, in tho presence of the staff, finished off in a very efficient manner tho 40,000 th box of butter for the season. Tho company started operations 32 years ago and its progress in recent years has been rapid.
