THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE NO SUPPLIES OF STATE LOANS Buyers sought converted State loans on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, but no supplies were availcable. The four bond issues at 4 per cent were sought unchanged at £97 and offers at a similar figure were made for the corresponding stocks. The 3£ per cent stock issues drew offers of £96. In debentures) Auckland Hospital Board, 1935, 5J per cent, wero realeased 2s 6cl higher at £96 12s 6d and Auckland City, 1957, 5J per cent, sold at £9B 10s, which is £3 higher than the last transaction 10 months ago. Buyers were a shade firmer for banks. New Zeal and s wero taken twice unchanged at 44s 6d and offers subsequently advanced by 2d to that figure. Further supplies wero offered 2d higher at 44s Bd. Commercials were sought Id higher at 14s, quotations at 14s 2d being unchanged. No offers were made for Now South Wales, which again were available at £29 2s 6d. Sellers of insurance were inactive and apart from a rise of 3d to 48s for New Zealands, offers were firm at late levels. There were two early sales in South British, 3d higher at G3s 6d and at 63s 9d. The general sections were quiet, although levels in a few issues were advanced. Auckland Gas were done twice unchanged at 21s Id and sellers advanced their limits by 2d to 21s 3d. Buyers at 21s wero unchanged. A rise in offers of 3d to 23s accompanied a sale in Huddart-Parkers, prof., Jit 23s 6d, an unchanged price. Whittomo Stevonson h'ad sale at 14s, compared with a transaction in September last at 15s. Higher offers wero made for some of tho leading New Zealand mining issues. Blackwaters, which wero again available at 22s 9d, wero sought 6d higher at 225. For Waihis, offers rose by Id to 21s 7d, quotations being steady at 225. Offers for Waihi Junctions gained 2d at 3s 9d, at which price business Id higher was done. Sellers were quoted finally Id higher at 3s lOd. There was a further easing in Mt. Lyclls, which were sought 3d lower at 18s 6d, quotations at 19s 3d being renewfed.
