CLUB COMPETITION RESULTS MEDAL MATCH AT TITIRANG! A medal Handicap match was plaved bv members of tho Titijanci Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. MANUKAU CLUB The official opening of the Manukau Golf Club took place on Saturday afternoon in perfect weather. The first ball was driven by Mrs. Adlam, president of tho ladies' club. Visitors were present from the Otaluihu, Clevedon and Pupakura Clubs. The links were in fine order, many improvements having been effected during the summer months. Mixed foursomes were ployed, the winners being Mr. and Mrs. F. Parker, 43, 10—32. The runners-up were Ivliss Wilkins and Wardell, 42, 9—33. p OPENING AT PUKEKOHE [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Saturday The Pukekohe Golf Club opened its winter season on the Pukekoho racecourse to-day under ideal conditions. The course which, since last season has been enlarged from „13 holes to 18, was in splendid condition. About 100 players wero present. The president, Mr, J. Roulston, coined members and visitors and wished the club a successful season. He commented on the friendly spirit that existed between clubs in the Franklin and South Auckland district as evidenced by the representative gathering of visitors. Mr. Boulston presented trophies won during the summer season as follows:—Medal aggregate, Dr. J. McWhirtrr; flag matches, Messrs. B. Foote and J. Graham; medal eclectic, Mr. D. Coyle; bogey match. Mr. J. Graham; medal eclectic, Mr. B. Colo Baker. A Canadian foursome match was played over nine liole3 during the afternoon and resulted in a tie between Mrs. Moore and 11. T.
