THE WAIKATO FUND To-morrow is the last day available to the public to provide the small balance required to enable the Waikato Land Development Society, organised by Mr. D. V. Bryant, to claim the grant of £IO,OOO which the Auckland Savings Bank will make provided an equal amount is contributed by general subscription. An intensive campaign to raise the comparatively few pounds required was planned by Mr. Bryant for last week, but owing to an attack of influenza he was unable to give the matter his personal attention. The olosing date was fixed originally for last t ridav, but the bank generously made an extension until to-morrow. The following additional amounts were received by the Herald over the week-end:—E.G., 1.W., £5 each; Well "Wisher, Grateful, £2 2s each.
