EDUCATION SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING HELD The scheme of study carried out during the year hy the Education Society was reviewed in a report presented by Professor A. B. Fitt at the annual meeting of the society. Different branches of research, factory organisation and general educational trends were some of the subjects studied. Mr. D. M. Eae, principal of the Teachers' Training College, explained the scope afforded research workers in New Zealand, and referred to the grants made by the Carnegie Corporation in aid of research. The financial report revealed a satisfactory position. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. F. A. Garry; vice-presi-dents, Professor A. B. Fitt and Mr. G. J. Park; secretary and treasurer, Mr. K. O'Halloran; auditor, Mr. L. Holt; council, Messrs. D. M. Bae, H. J. D. Mahon, A.v B. Thompson and Misses Newman and Johnston.
