PROBATION GRANTED
AUSTRALIAN ACTOR LOS ANGELES COURT CASE (Received March 28. 6.35 p.m.) LOS ANGELES. March 27 John Farrow, Australian screen writer and actor, was charged with violating the Federal immigration laws to-day. He was granted five years' probation by Judge Hollizer, who said that at the end of that time Farrow might enter a plea of not guilty and clear his record. The Court also recommended that Harrow he not deported. It criticised Murray Caisson, formerly special assistant to the Secretary of Labour, for his part in Farrow's arrest on January 27. Farrow alleges that lie was held by Garsson for questioning without permission to retain counsel. The Court also caHcf attention to the protest made on hehall of Farrow bv the British Consul to the British Ambassador in Washington.
