BOARDING HOUSE THEFTS - -ITOTAL OF £l4 STOLEN [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] ROTORUA, Tuesday, A dramatic chase took place early tlnb morning when a boarder at the Kia Ora ' private hotel was aroused by a sound made by- an intruder and, with the night porter, gave chase to two men, who ran Sjfs along a passage. The men climbed a back fence, and when the porter caught one by the leg he struck out with his fist and escaped in the semi-darkness. ' ? v Later it was discovered that £l2 had f been stolen from clothes in one of the bedrooms and that £2 had been stolen, ; in similar manner from a neighbouring;; boarding house, St. Elmo.
