New offices specially adapted for handling tourist and other business and the development of trade are now occupied there. Also there are ample facilities for attractive window displays. The premises were officially opened to coincide with the 92nd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, and the London celobration, in the presence of a large nymber of representative Victorian citizens. The guests were fittingly entertained by Mr. L. J. Schmitt, New Zealand Tourist and Trade Commissioner in Australia, and Mr. R. M. Firth, manager of the Melbourne tourist and trade bureau.
