BAKERS' CONFERENCE
CONCLUSION OF BUSINESS NEXT MEETING AT HASTINGS [bt telegraph—press association] DUJSTEDIN. Friday The Dominion conference of bakers concluded to-day. Mr. C. E. Boon, Mr. F. H. Hawker and the president, Mr. T. W. Smith, were appointed representatives on the heat Research Committee. It was decided to forward a protest to the Government against the additional tax on petrol.Mr. Boon, president of the Canterbury Association, was made a life member of the New Zealand Master Bakers' Association. An invitation from Hawke's Bay that the next conference be held at Hastings •was accepted.
