GOOD WIN FOR STARLIGHT VARUNA SCORES SUCCESS CLASS H (Mullet Boats).—First prize, £G 10s; second, £2 10s; third, A. Foster and Company's trophy. From (in excellent start, Starloch crossed the line first, with Omatere, Spray and Starlight handy. Celox was late. MODEL YACHT RACES

RESULTS AT ORAKEI BASIN

A successful model yacht regatta was held at Orakei Basin in connection with the Anniversary Regatta. The function was opened by Mr. E. H. Davis, chairman, and Mr. J. C. Hewson, lion, secretary of the Anniversary Regatta Committee. The arrangements were efficiently controlled by the officials of the Orakei Basin Model Yacht Club. Owing to tho large number of entries it was impossible to complete the programme, and only the heats wore sailed. Tho finals will be decided at an early date.
