FINED FOR DRUNKENNESS
CELEBRATING NEW YEAR 1 [FROM OUR OWN correspondent] TE AROHA, Wednesday A relief worker, John Casey, appeared 'before Mr. D. McMahon, J.P., in the Te 'Aroha Police Court this morning and pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk on the Waihou railway station on Tues'day afternoon. He said he had been celebrating the New Year and would take care to see there was no repetition of the offence.
The pplice stated that accused was a second offender within three months.
1 A fine of 10s, in default seven days' imprisonment, was imposed.
