RAW AND COLD WEATHER CROWDS AT FOOTBALL MATCHES British Wireless RUGBY, Dec. 27 The early promise of Tine weather for the holidays was not wholly fulfilled. Christmas Day and Boxing Day have been foggy and cold in London. To-day, an extra bank holiday, the weather was raw and cold, but the fog cleared. The parks and commons wer" thronged, while astonishing crowds attended the various football matches. Over 760,000 attended matches in the English League alone. The gates had to be closed before the kick-off in many cases.
