WEDDING
RISH WORTH—OONNELL At the historic church. of St. Barnabas, on December 27, Olive Douglas, elder daughter of Mrs. 0. S. B. Connell and grand-daughter of the late Judge Smith, was married to Eustace Jackson, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Rishworth. Tho Rev. F. G. Harvie officiated. In an exquisite dress of ivory silk lace, softly draped over blush-white satin, and carrying a sheaf of Christmas lilies, the bride was a lovely vision. Her veil, which was of Irish lacc and many yoars old, was lent by a friend. Secured at each side of the head-dress by dainty sprays of orange blossom, it fell as a graceful train. She was given away by her uncle, Mr. G. D. Connell. Attending the bride were her sister Betty in pale green organdie, with primrose frills, And Jocelyn, the bridegroom's sister, who •* wore primrose organdie, with pale green frills. Their hats of crinoline straw were trimmed with satin ribbon and flowers to tone. Each carried a sheaf of yellow arum lilies and wore <necklets and ear-rings of amber, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Alan R. Gillespie and Mr. Evan S. Rishworth attended the bridegroom as best man. and groomsman respectively. Following the ceremony Mrs. Connell entertained her guests at her home, 26 Hillside Crescent,: Mount Eden, and after the cutting of the cake and the honouring of toasts tho bridal pair left by car for the north.
