NORTH ISLAND MEETING CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WANGANUI, "Wednesday ' Tile North Island rifle shooting meeting was concluded on the Putiki range to-day in perfect weather. The championship was won by R. J. Lawrence (Tararua Club), with a spore of 335. R. Shaw' (Waiiganui) was second with 334, F. J. Soler (Wanganui) third with 332, and E. Farley (Wanganui) fourth with 332. Trophies were won as follows: — Championship Challenge Cup and championship challenge belt: R. J. Lawrence (Tararua). Elmslie Memorial Challenge Shield, for teams match: Wanganui ' No. 1 team (E. King, F. J. Soler, E. Farley and R. Shaw).' Colonial Ammunition Company's Challenge Cup, for winner of Putiki aggregate: F. J. Soler (Wanganui). Matarawa Silver Challenge Cup, for winner of Marybank aggregate: R. J. Lawrence (Tararua). Phillips Challenge Cup, for winner of tyro aggregate: R. J. Lawrence (Tararua).
