THEFT OF LIQUOR
SPIRITS STORE ENTERED MAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE [by telegraph—own correspondent] HOTORUA, Wednesday Charged in the Rotorua Magistrate's Court, this morning with breaking and entering a wine and spirits store and with the theft of a bottle of gin and a bottle of whisky, John J. H. Rush pleaded guilty and was committed to tho Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence. Evidence was given by Arthur W. McGill, son of tho owner of the store, that on the morning of December 26, ho visited tho premises and found that a window had been broken and that a bottle of gin and a bottle of whisky were missing.
Constable Shilton said lie arrested accused on the old Taupo Road and accused denied having committed tho theft. Later ho admitted the offence, and the stolen goods were found on him.
