Mrs. T. G. R. Blunt (Christchurch) still has her studio at Steyning, Sussex, and has occasional lessons from Bertram Nicholls (president of the R.8.A.), who lives in the same attractive village. Mrs. Blunt belongs to the R.B.A. Art Club, which was started two years ago in connection with R.B.A. Society, and she exhibited at the club's annual exhibition both last year and this, and in each case had three oil paintings well hung, write 3 our London correspondent. Last year she designed two folder covers for the Great Western Railway. For virtually the whol# of this summer—from the end of June to the middle of October— Mrs. Blunt had a delightful sketching trip along the Roman Wall in Northumberland, and while in the North she saw many interesting places in the mfdst of beautiful country. As an artist she found Berwick-on-Tweed full of historical interest, and its setting very attractive. Before leaving the North she went across to Holy Island, where she devoted a week to painting the beautiful old Lindisfarne Priory, and the Castle which stands up like a minature St. Michael's Mount.
