DONATION TO COACH FUND

The management committee of the Auckland Cricket Association resolved Inst evening to forward a letter of condolence to the widow of the lato Mr. C-. Rhodes, a former vice-president of the association. It was resolved to award the hat presented hy Mr. P. W. Matthews for the first century scored of the season to F. Angus; of the Grafton senior B team. The Auckland Racing Club forwarded a donation of £2O to the coach fund and its action was the subject of much favourable comment.

It was agreed to donate two guineas to the Auckland Umpires' Association.

RULING REGARDING NO-BALL

The management committee of the City and Suburban Cricket Association last evening decided to give tho Auckland Cricket Association full support in arranging country week at Christmas time. The secretary, Mr. E. Stallworthy. said matches against country teams would be played at Eden Park and tho Domain. Messrs. E. Stallworthy, J. Molloy, E Fawcett and A. Donald were appointed to act in conjunction -with, the Auckland Association.

The New Zealand CrickOt Council advised that the association's application for registration as a minoc association had been deferred until the first meeting of the management committee

The Invicta ' Club wrote asking, for a ruling in connection with an incident which occurred in a match last Saturday. It was pointed out that a bowler, in delivering a ball, knocked off the bails, and •was noballed. From the extra ball a boundary was scored, and the game ended in a draw. The matter was referred to the Umpires Association for inquiry. Mr. J. Elliott mado complimentary remarks on the fine century compiled by S. Guiniven last Saturday. The chairman, Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, eaid he admired the display of the colt, and on his motion it was decided to nominate Guiniven for practice with the' Auckland representative team.
