CHARGE OF VAGRANCY
remanded for observation
A charge of being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he had been found by night without lawful excuse in an enclosed yard in Pencarrow Avenue, Mount Eden, -was preferred against a motor-driver, aged 21 years, in the Police Court yesterday. De'ective-Sergeant Doyle said that on November 5 accused was found in a residential property iri Pencarrow Avenue. He was what was known as a "peeping Tom," and on October 6 last he was admitted to probation on a charge of being found unlawfully on premises. He had been quite frank to the police and had done no harm to anyone, but it was desirable that, lie should bo under some restraint.
On the suggestion of counsel, Mr. Uren, who said accused had been overcome by a sudden impulse, the magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, remanded accused for a week for medical observation.
