ACTIVITIES OF CHURCH
The annual meeting of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Otahuhu, was held in the church hall on Monday evening, when satisfactory reports of the year's activities were presented by the minister, the Rev. A. SI. Elliffe, and the board of management.
The report stated that in spite of (he reduction of income in all households it was gratifying to learn thai the previous high standard of Christian giving had been maintained. Contributions to missions had increased in the year by fully £SO, and subscriptions and donations had increased by £25 and £IOO respectively. In addition the church membership had increased. The fund being raised for the erection of additional rooms for Sunday School work was now approximately £6O. The roll of the Sunday School was now 89 scholars find 10 teachers, and a successful year's work would be completed next week-end when the anniversary services would be held. The church organisations had materially assisted in raising £93 for the church and hull funds. "Golden Sunday," when the congregation were invited to respond by "direct giving," had resulted in the sum of £4B being contributed. The reports were adopted and votes of appreciation of the minister and management were unanimously passed.
