GARDEN PARTY
Y.W.C.A. FUNDS
A PERFECT SETTING
In perfect weather and in delightful surroundings the garden party which was held at the home of Mrs. A. Kidd, Hounslow, Gillies Avenue, Epsom, on Saturday afternoon in aid of tho Y.W.C.A. funds proved a very, enjoyable and successful function. Garden lovers revelled in the opportunity thus presented to them of inspecting choice flowers, of which there was an amazing profusion, and of observing new ideas for tho setting out of tho grounds and flower beds. Graceful native trees gave the necessary cool shade for tho well-provisioned stalls, at all of which brisk business was carried on, and under one large group of trees the afternoon tea tallies were set out.
The fair was declared officially open by Lady Leys, who was received by Mrs. A. D. Campbell, president of the Auckland Y.W.C.A. Both Lady Leys and Mrs. Campbell were presented with bouquets by Graco Moore, chief girl citizen. Competitive games, including ladder golf, clock croquet, skittles and deck tennis proved very popular, and the Auckland Girls' Brass Band was in attendance.

Murdoch; afternoon tea, membership and hostel committees, under Mrs. G. H. Wilson and Mrs. T. Clark; flowers, world fellowship, library and service committees, under Mrs. F. M.
