TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME

LIST OF THE ACCEPTANCES

HAMILTON HANDICAP FIELD

REVIEW OF THE PROSPECTS

Tito Waikato Racing Club's Spring Meeting will bo concluded at To Rapa to-day, when tlio chief events will be the Hamilton Handicap and tho Kirikiriroa Handicap. The various races have filled well, and another interesting day's sport is promised. Following are details of tho fields with a review of tho prospects in each race by "Archer":—

12.15—FRANKTON HANDICAP,

Of £75, and sweepstakes o« £3 each; G fur. st. lb. st. lb. Foreign Money 8 8 Tama-i-Ihapi . 8 2 Bell Topper . 8 7 Beryl Latour . 8 0 Chateau ... 8 4 SchiVanthus . 8 0 Loombination 8 3 Keith Hall . . 8 0 Blnndford ... 8 2 Whirlalong ..80 Arawa Rose . 8 2 Sweet Lap ..80 Star Mint ... 8 2 Transaction ..80 Tho Pullet ..82 Form and figures suggest an excellent chance for Whirlalong. ami 6he is a solid type of filly who should take a lot of beating. Foreign Money ran eomo good races last season, and should be capable of a bold showing. Bell Topper is meeting Whirlalong on Svorso terms than when she defeated him on Saturday, but he may show some improvement in the hands of a stronger horseman. . Loombination, Blnndford and Arawa Rose 'have chances; and tho best of the others may be Keith Hall and Sweet Lap. Tho favourite may be WHIRLALONG. LOOMBINATION, FOREIGN MONEY.

• 'II.O—CLARK IN HACK HANDICAP, Of £100; 7 fur. st. lb. st. lb. Imaniint ... 9 2 Lady Lulu . . 7 4 Prolyxo • ... 8 5 Book! aw ... 7 1 Ruby Dawn . 8 0 Searcher ... 7 0 Holly Holm . 7 12 Wilton .... 7 0 - MoOnfleet . -. 7 12 Vnlpai ..... 7 0 King Win ; . 7 10 . Illuminelli ..70 Limes .... 7 9 Echo Song . . 7 0 Merry Lap . . 7 5' Sweet Whisper 7 0 Alter lier good third' to .Gay Marigold and 'King's Knave on ■ Saturday. • Imamint appears to liavo a first-class chance, and she will only require to reproduce that form to take considerable beating. Prolyxo, who ran well at Ellerslie, is nicely placed, and should fake a hand in the finish, while Limex is another who must seriously considered. Others who should add interest to the contest are Moonfleet. Lady Lulu and the improving Merry Lap. Horses who may find favour are PROLYXO, IMAMINT, LIMEX.

I.4S—RUAKURA STAKES, Of £ 100; two-year-oldB; 5 fur. et. lb, et. lb Gay Seton . . 812 Bonny Gay . . 710 Gay Sheila ..85 King Mcstor . 7 8 Impasto ... 8 4 Springtime ..77 Star Artist . . 7 13 Enjoyment ..77 Pelagia .... 7 11 Bonny Joyce . 7 3 King Musk . . 7 10

Gay Seton won like an improved colt on Saturday, but he will be meeting Gay Sheila on ,71b. worse terms than when she defeated him in the Musket Stakes at Ellerslie, and ho is again likely to find her a very formidable opponent. Impasto created a very favourable impression in running second on Saturday, and he should again account for most of the others, more especially as ho appears likely to be much better for a race. Bonny Gay, Star Artist, Pelagia, Enjoyment and Bonny Joyce may all make creditable showings, but investors may follow form and stipport GAY SHEILA, IMPASTO. GAY SETON.

2.3O—HAMILTON HANDICAP, -Of . £150; 1 mile.

. E. Pope holds .a strong hand with. Royal Artist and Speedmint, as his charges can both be relied upon for good efforts. Royal' 'Artist was unlucky in the .Waikato Cup and Spiiedniijit raij ,a good second at Ellerslie. 'at her last e.tart'. Baroscope and" L'Allegro;•.axe likely'Hehl-weigh.ts, and,.form*'points to" Bronze, : Tray ' antt 1 Refreelicralso running .g6<ia v races'.-Sofid"-sttpiiort"iiiaj' be ; ! ". 3.IS—MATANGI HURDLES, Of £100; li miles st. 1b.,: j st. lb, Luminary . ,10 11 Welcome Boy 9 0 High ' Abbey Dream -"'9 0 ' Commissioner 10 0 Maunga King. 9 0 Motere .' . . , 910 Emancipation 9 0 St.'Amea v . . 9 10. Carl Hertz . . 9 0 Trowbridge ..90

Luminary was not thoroughly ready when he raced at Ellerslio early in the month, but if he has made any progress in the meantime ho should have a chance in this field. High Commissioner did not have the best of luck on Saturday, and should do better on this occasion, while Emancipation anil Welcome Boy are both capable of showing improvement. St. Ames is another possibility and Motere may shew more dash than at Whangarei, where ho did not jump well. Tho main fancies may include HIGH COMMISSIONER, EMANCIPATION, ST. AMES. 4.O—WAIKATO HACK CttP, Of £lls, and sweepstakes of £2 each; 1 mile. et. lb. et. lb. L'Allegro ..99 Master Briorly 711 Glenvane ... 9 0 Glenrata . . . 7,10 Princess Bede 812 Bugle Call ~79 - Woodfull ... 8 4 Lady Lulu '..73 Gay Marigold 8 4 Chang ... , . 7 0 Sub-Editor . . 7 13 Reclaimer . . 7 0 L'Allegro, if reserved, should run a solid race even though he has a big weight, and Glenvane may do belter than on Saturday, •when he was finishing on after being badly placed early. Gay Marigold won well on the first day and, although she has a rise of •lllb., may again raco prominently. Master Brierly, Glenrata and Bugle Call are others with chances, while Princess Bede and Woodfull should also be in the picture if they run up to tlieir best form. A few who may bo fancied aro GAY MARIGOLD. • MASTER BRIERLY, BUGLE CALL.

4.4S—KIRIKIFUROA HANDICAP, Of £125; 6 fur. st. lb. et. lb. Paganelli » . 9 9 Gold Day ..76 Tea Trader 1.,. 8 J Ganpat ... 7 2 High Comedy 8 2 Valuation ..70 Gay Lap ;. •. 8 0 Marmorate ..70 Marechal ~ . . 7 10 Bracket: Tea Trader and High Comedy. Mr. R. T. Reid's horses. Tea Trader and High Comedy, aro both nicely placed and tho stable elect should take a lot of beating. Paganelli won very decisively on Saturday, and in spite of a rise of 9lb. ho should provo tho best of those who contested the first day's sprint. Marechal may be improved for his race, and Gnnpat may also bo equal to a creditable effort. Gay Lap has not yot struck form this season but would have" an undeniable chance if at his best. Gold Day disappointed on Saturday and will require to show improvement to win hero. Tho favourites may bo

TEA TRADER-HIGH COMEDY BRACKET, PAGANELLI. GANPAT.

S.3O—TAUWH ARE HIQH-VVEIGHT HANDICAP, Of £100; 1 milo. st. lb. st. lb. Soloist failed on Saturday, but has a. chance to make amends here, and Crunchan will be bettor suited by this class than lie was in the Cup field. Chief Jov rends best of the others but be lias been racing below form and improvement upon hia latest running will be necessary for him to win. Horses who may bo in demand aro -

CRUACHAN, SOLOIST. GAY IDEA.
