TECHNICAL COLLEGE SOCIAL

There was an attendance of 70 at the second annual social held in the college assembly hall on Saturday, when the combined evening gymnastic classes, together with members of the badminton club, and their friends, spent a most enjoyable evening. A committee of four under the leadership of Mr. Lecves, the gymnastic instructor, was responsible for the organisation. The programme included dancing, organised games of skill, gymnastic display, a demonstration of jiujitsu by Mr. Adams, and boys of the college, also an exhibition game of badminton by 11. Dallimorc and L. Speed, members of the college club, who were successful this year in winning the Auckland and New Zealand I> grade doubles championship. Miss Seay, the home science mistress, with students assistants, provided an excellent supper in the cafeteria. .1. Dallimorc, on behalf of the evening gymnastic classes, presented Mr. Leeves with a badminton racquet as a token of their appreciation for what he had done for them during their gymnastic training.
