TESTING LOW-GRADE ORE
PROPOSAL FOR THAMES ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLIES [by telegraph—own correspondent] THAMES, Tuesday "For some time past 1 have been endeavouring to obtain help by way of electric power from the Public Works Department for. the purpose of testing low-grade ore in Thames," states Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.F., in a letter to the borough commissioner, Mr. C. L. Grange. "I am now led to believe this assistance will be forthcoming and that a.n early commencement will be made with the work." Mr. Snmuel said the result of this experiment might lu.ve a most beneficial reaction on the financial position of the borough. It should very soon mean (lie absorption of a number of unemployed and might have far-reaching effects in this direction.
