AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY

HAZE AND FOG OVERCOME REMARKABLE POSSIBILITIES LONDON, Oct. 30 The War Office and the Admiralty are interested in infra ray photography, in consequence of which special experiments were initiated at tlie physical laboratory at Teddington. The new photographic plates overcome haze and fog and give definition as sharp at 20 miles as at 100 yards. If this photography were applied to warfare it is suggested that a smoke screen for a battle fleet, would be rendered useless. Airmen would bo able to photograph battlefield fortifications while their machines were hidden in clouds, and liners would bo able to speed through a fog because their officers would know the position of ships ahead. Scientists, too, it is stated, could search a vaster area of tlio universe. The discovery may ultimately be the means of deciding the existence of life on planets.
