PROVISION IN BRITAIN BUILDING SOCIETIES' AID (Received October 3). 5.55 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Oct. 30 Proposals for using the resources of building societies for furthering the State campaign for the provision of small work-ing-class houses are announced as the result of the deliberations of the housing committee of the National Association of Building Societies. Under the scheme presented to the Health Minister the State, local authorities and building societies would combine to guarantee 20 per cent of mortgage loans.
