SHIPPING WARNED
ROU (5H SEAS LIKELY VERY SEVERE DISTURBANCE (Received October 31. 9.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 31 The New South Wales State meteorologist, Mr. D. G. Mares, has warned shipping that a very severe disturbance is moving: eastward from the south-eastern corner of Australia. This is expected to cause gales, with rough to high seas south from latitude 20 degrees.
Latitude 30 degrees lies 270 miles north of Cape Maria van Diemen and 60 miles south of Norfolk Island.
