YOUTH'S LEG FRACTURED

CAUGHT BY TOW ROPE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES. li'cr.day When a youth, Raymond Fowler, aged 17, -who is engaged an a launch hand by Mr. L. H. Julian, Thames, in connection with tho conveyance of lime from the Miranda works, was paying out a tow line for a barge at Miranda on Saturday evening, the rope caught round his left ankle and fractured his leg. He was conveyed by launch to Thames and admitted to hospital at about; 9 p.m. The patient underwent an operation to havo tho fractured limb set. The youth is a son of Mr. J. Fowler, storekeeper, of Tanirn.
