PIG-HUNTERS' LONG TRIP
ABSENCE CAUSES ANXIETY MET BY SEARCH PARTY Cby telegraph—OWN correspondent] IE PUKE, Monday A party of five young men, Messrs. Bridger, Dunlop, Howell, Partridge and Harris, who left Tg Puke on Saturday evening on a pijj- hunting expedition failed to return on Sunday evening as arranged. At. noon to-day a search party, including two ambulance men, set out from lo Puko and found the missing party. The pig hunters had wandered about 20 miles and had struck the road at Omanawa Falls, over .20 miles from their starting point. No one suffered any illeffects, although they were short of food and were unable to light a fire, being without matches. When met by the search party the men were endeavouring to make their way back to the Te Matai Road to pick up their car.
