CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
TAKAPUNA GUN CLUB The Takapuna Gun Club's fortnightly shoot was held 011 Saturday. Following wero the results:— Seven Birds Eye-opener.—lt. Good (12yds) and W. It. Ayton (12yds) shot five birds each and shot off for the first sweep (first miss out). Ayton missed his eighth bird, Good getting his and taking the first sweep. The next best scores were: ,T. McGregor (14yds) and L. J. Henderson (15yds), who shot four birds each. 15 Birds Match.—J. McGregor (15yds) and ](. Good (13yds) tied with ten birds each. In the shoot-off of five biids each (first mies out). Good shot two birds and McGregor shot three birds and took the trophy. Seven Birds Gimmick Sweep.—C. C. Kae (17-21 yds), J. McGregor (12-10 yds), and If. Mowbray (0-15 yds) shot tlio possible. In the shoot-off (first miss out). C. C. Kae and Mowbray missed their eleventh bird, McGregor getting liia and taking the sweep.
