PROTECTION FOR MEN

SOCIETY'S IMPARTIAL AIMS FIELD WORKER'S EXPERIENCES "Women can look after themselves—it's we poor men who need the protection." That was the sentiment encountered occasionally by Mrs. Sprott, wife of the Bishop of Wellington, during the years when she was a field worker for the Wellington branch of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children. Mrs. Sprott mentioned tho fact at the annual meeting last week. "I remember," Mrs. Sprott said, "in the few years I was connected with thiis society we had sometimes not only women, but men, coining to get advice. And in some cases we even gave the men advice against the women. (Laughter.) Although our name is the 'Society for the Protection of Women and Children' wc are only here to protect the women who need protection. We are ready to protect tho men, too!"
