SUPERANNUATION FUNDS
PROTEST AGAINST BILL [by telegraph—muss association] PALMERSTON NORTH, Monday At a largely-attended meeting of superannuitants under tlio various Government superannuation funds tlio following resolution was carried:— "That Wfl enter an emphatic protest against the proposals *the Government embodies in the bill now before Parliament seeking to abrogate our rights conferred by Acts of Parliament, rights which we worked and paid for. We desire to emphasise tlio fact that the effect of such an act of repudiation as that proposed would be detrimental to the credit of the Dominion and would be suro to engender distrust in any Government, undertaking and harmful to the host interests of tlio Government services. Wo confidently rely on the representatives in Parliament to uphold the honour of our Dominion and tho sanctity of contracts."
