LITERARY DIGEST BALLOT MR. ROOSEVELT'S MAJORITY (Received October 23, 7.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 27 Semi official returns in connection with the Literary Digest's " straw " vote on tho Presidential election show that Mr. Franklin Roosevelt (Democrat) is leading in 41 States with 1,648,237 votes. Mr. Hoover (Republican) has 1,095,274 votes. The Socialist candidate has received about 5 per cent, r>f the total.
