DE VALERA ORGAN ASSAULTS ON READERS BUNDLES THROWN IN RIVER NO MORE TO BE PUBLISHED By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received October 28, 6.15 p.m.) DUBLIN, Oct. -27 Peoplo who were seen reading the do Valera organ, the Evening Telegraph, were assaulted in the streets of Dublin today. Delivery vans were attacked and newsboys threw bundles of the papers into thp River Lil'fey and tore hundreds to pieces. There were many fierce encounters. The directors of t he, newspaper, which first appeared on June 3, state that it was destroyed overnight through the illadvised action of those who should have been most solicitous for its welfare —the Irish Workers' Union. The publication of the Evening Telegraph has been suspended, the directors expressing sympathy with tho 118 workers thrown out of employment as a result.
