WAKATERE CLUB'S OPENING The Wakntere Canoe Club will officially open its racing 6eason this afternoon when the patron. Mr. J. Hislop, will address members and friends in the clubhouse, Narrow Neck, at 2 o'clock. The first race, for the Richardson Cup, will start at 3 p.m. This should finish about 3.45 p.m., and after a spell of half an hour the second race will be sailed for a prize presented by Mr. Wilkinson. The course for both events will be from starting line oft the beach, round Narrow Neck beacon, thenco round red buoy ofT Cheltenham Bench, nnd back round mark at starting line, twice round, keeping marks to starboard. The starting system and sailing instructions will be explained by Mr. J. Brooke, president of the club, and designer of those 14ft. one-design boats. The entries arc:—l, Wiritoa, N. Wing: 2. Wainui.
