SPOTTED SKIN
" Why is it that directly I get bark from a holiday when, presumably, my resistance to disease is at its greatest, I go and get an outbreak .of dpots and pimples?" My questioner was a young man just back from a month's holiday in the open air where he had been climbing, riding, sailing and being generally very energetic; sleeping long nights and eating very heartily. He looked extremely well and sunburnt, and yet only a week in London had brought back all these spots. As a matter of fact this not infrequently happens. You are suddenly brought back into a. sedentary existence, but your appetite remains and you continue eating unusually large amounts of food—which is important when you are taking a lot of exercise, but, at othpr times, is often bad for the complexion.
