PRESIDENT HONOURED
At the provincial conference of the i'hnikct Society of the Auckland district, which opened yesterday afternoon, the acting-president of the Auckland branch, Lady Sinclair-Locklmrt, announced that Mrs. W. If. Parkes had been elected an honorary life member and patron of the branch. "Mrs. Parkes has worked for the society for 24 years," she said. " and you all know what, she has done. By electing her to these, positions we are paying her the greatest honour that lies in our power.".
