WHEAT ACREAGE
PROPOSED LIMITATION TWO YEARS' PLAN MOOTED (Received October 27, 5.5 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 26 Argentina's representative on the preparatory committee of the World Economic Conference has been instructed to suggest that, an agreement be negotiated between the. United States, Canada, Argentina and Australia for a proportionate, decrease in wheat acreage to bring production within the consumption demand. The Minister of Agriculture suggested to-day that at the World Conference the four countries named shall consider the possibility of limiting the wheat acreage for at, least two years. The, Minister said such an agreement would eliminate the possibility of increased production and restore a fair price. Somotliing of the sort was needed because worldwide unemployment was preventing increased consump; tion.
