CAR STRIKES ZONE
DRIVER SLIGHTLY HURT The end of a safety zone in Symonds Street, near the junction with Khyber Pass Road, was shattered when motor-car collided with the zone at 9.45 last evening. The driver of the vehicle, Mr. Albert I. Tew, of 58 Peary Road, Mount Eden, escaped serious injury. There were no passengers in the car. Mr. Tew received bruisos and shock, and was also cut on the wrists. He was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, but was able to proceed to his home after attention. The car was fairly extensively damaged.
