YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges. In the second column is given the return, based on the last annual dividend, from investment at, the quoted price, lu the case of Government and other redeemable securities no return is given, in view of the new method of quotation, but the months in which interest is due aro shown. In calculating the return on shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand exchange rates, being liable to fluctuation, have not been taken into consideration. Oct. ?7 The Herald and Weekly Times, Limited, Melbourne, is paying a final dividend for the year of 5 per cent on ordinary shares making with the interim distribution 10 per cent for the year ending September 30. The half-yearly dividend on preference shares is payable on November 17. The company has a capital of £2,225,000, including £125,000 per cent £1 preference shares. In 1931 a dividend of 9 per cent was paid on ordinary capital, as against 14£ per cent in 1930. COLD AND SILVER » QUOTATIONS IN LONDON (Received October 27, 8.35 p.m.) LONDON.
