TRAIN FOR TRAMPERS
FIFTH EXCURSION ARRANGED NEW ATTRACTIONS PROMISED The fifth mystery excursion train to leave from Auckland will depart at 9.15 a.m. on Sunday for an unknown destination. A feature of this outing will he the presence of Miss Esther James, who walked from Spirit's Bay in the North to the Bluff, a distance of 1600 miles. Jinny new attractions are to be provided/ The location chosen by the Bailway Department gives a pleasant walk of just under eight miles, and the luncheon place is within a few yards of a beautiful waterfall. Passengers will be picked up at all stations on the north line as far as New Lynn, with the exception of Kingsland. The first portion of the walk will be off the beaten track, as the route will commence through private property.
