CYCLIST IN COLLISION
FRACTURE OF RIGHT LEG ACCIDENT AT PAPAKURA In a collision between a bicycle he wa3 riding and a motor-lorry at the intersection of Great South Road and Averill Street, Papakura, shortly after eight o'clock on Saturday evening, Kenneth Ernest Leitch, aged 16, of Wairoa Road, Papakura, received a compound fracture of both bones of the right leg, just below the knee. The lorry, which was driven by Mr. Albert John Neems, of Park Road, Papakura, was travelling along the Great South Road toward Drury and the cyclist was riding in the opposite direction. The injured boy was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital.
