WEEK-END WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH \ Auckland.—Changeable and wet weatheij prevailed during the week-end. On Satur* day a light north-easterly wind was blow-* ing and frequent showers were experienced during the day,- the conditions being foggy* in the evening, \esterdav the wind fresh* ened to a moderate breeze and continuous rain fell during the day and occasional showers in the evening. The barometer commenced falling after midday yesterday and was steady at 29.85 in. during the evening.
Wellington.—The weather was fine but overcast on Saturday, with a cold wind.: Yesterday was fine, with bright sunshine all day, but there was a cold breeze from the south.
Christchurch.—Saturday, was fine and sunny, with a fresh breeze from the southwest. Showers fell during the night. Yes* terday was overcast until late in the afternoon, ■ when the wind changed to northeast and the. sun came out. Dunedin.—The weather was. overcasfi and unsettled on Saturday and a moderata breeze from the south-west was blowing. The barometer rose during the day and registered 30.25 in, on Saturday night.
