Mr. and Mrs. Lance Tompkins, of Hamilton, aro staying at Hotel Lion Dcsir.
Mrs. E. G. Gobbio, who has been visiting Auckland, returned last week to her home in Fendalton.
Mrs. J. B. Crawford, of Mangere, who has been visiting her niece, Mrs. W. R. Hitchens, of To Aroha, lias returned to Auckland.
Mrs. R. C. Reardon, of Taumarunui, has returned from a holiday spent -it Devonport with her mother, Mrs. C. R. Birchall.
Mr. and-Mrs. A. Palmer, of England, left Wellington at tho week-end for Auckland to join tho Mariposa on their return to England, via America.
Dr. G. Craig, Comptroller of Customs for New Zealand, Mrs. Craig, and Miss Ncssie Craig, Wellington, have left Montreal by tho Canadian Challenger on their return journey to New Zealand.
Mr. and Mrs. G. D. O'Leary, of Northcote, are leaving that district to take up their residence at Stratford, Taranaki, where Mr. O'Leary will be engaged in business on his own account. They leave Auckland next Sunday evening by train.
A most enjoyable dance was held at the Navy League rooms in Devonport on Saturday evening in aid of funds for tho North Shore Association Football Club. Tho hall was decorated in tho club's colours and bowls of spring flowers were arranged at the entrance. The dance music was played by Mr. S. Jones' Bluo Four Orchestra. Supper was served by Mrs. S.. Smith and Miss Clymont, two members of the committee. Among the tlancers were: Miss B. Shaw, Miss Dorothy Bolton, Miss Andrew, Miss Esma Fort, Miss E. Shaw, Miss Coleman, Miss C. Johnson, Miss Dorccn McKerham, Miss C. Bush, Miss D. Morris, Miss E. Sinton, Miss M. Tysoe, Miss McKenzie.
