ANNUAL SCOUT DANCE
FIRST DEVONPORT TROOP Tho annual danco of the first Devonport troop of Boy Scouts was held at the Parish Hall in Devonport on Saturday and proved a great success. Tho hall was attractively decorated with large flags of all nations hung against the side walls, and bamboo and native greenery flanked the sides of the stage and supper room. The dance music, which included old-time as well as modern dance numbers, was played by "Tho Cynco Aces" Orchestra. The ladies' committee who served supper comprised:—Mrs. K. Cornwell, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Perry Taylor, Mrs. Gale, Mrs. Powell, Mrs. Tapp, Miss M. Brown.
Among the dancers were:—Mrs. Lee, who woro a frock of back Cliantilly lace; Mrs. Iv. Cornwell, black chiffon velvet with embroidered coatee; Mrs. Powell, black crepe de chine; Mrs. Perry Taylor, floral ninon; Mrs. Tapp, floral crepe de chine; Mrs. Gale, Indian red flat crepe; Miss M. Brown, black souple satin > Miss Totman, blue floral taffeta; Miss J. Lee, Nile green georgette; Miss Inez Bray, Chineso red satin; Miss E. Mahon, ciel blue taffeta; Miss M. Levin, almond green satin; Miss R. Sinton, leaf green taffeta and lace; Miss S. Evans, pale blue chiffon; Miss N. Evans, floral taffeta; Miss Gorring, lemon crepe de chine; Miss J. Wollacott, white satin beaute; Miss Baxter, almond green floral georgette; Miss Pat Blandford, Nile green floral georgette; Miss Marie Spicer, delft bluo satin beaute; Miss Nonio Toper, flame taffeta; Miss Gale, green and white chiffon; Miss Botty Sword, eau do nil satin _ beaute; Miss Ella Undrill, turquoise satin; Miss Connie Baker, black net; Miss I. McCluskcy, lapis blue satin; Miss B. Palmer, lupin blue satin; Miss C. Thompson, sunglow taffeta; Miss Iv. Nash, delphinium blue souple satin; Miss D. McGregor, primrose floral taffeta; Miss V. Mascfield, apricot satin.
